Current weight: 283.4 lbs,
Total weight loss: 22.4 lbs.
As I mentioned before, I decided to take some of my body measurements every 3 weeks or so to have a non-scale way to track my progress. I measure several different body areas, including the main ones of my arm, chest, waist, hips and thigh.
In addition to measurements, I am tracking some other fitness and wellbeing markers as part of this process.
And…I just completed my week 6 measurements, the main ones which are recorded below.
Measurement Update – Week 6
Since the last measurement update 3 weeks ago, I have lost an additional 8 inches!
So in 6 weeks, I have lost a total of 23 inches – that is almost 2 feet lost! (Sounds crazy, doesn’t it??)
Measurement Update – Another 8 Inches Lost
I am so glad that I decided to record and monitor measurements as part of this 100-day wellness endeavor. When I’m discouraged or fed up with the scale, I can look at these measurements and rest assured that I am making significant progress. I am getting fitter and healthier.
The weirdest measurement today I have to say was my neck – I lost a whole inch in my neck since the beginning. I guess I didn’t consider that necks could get fat? But then again, men’s dress shirts have different sized necks, so I guess it makes sense. Just not something that ever occurred to me before.
I am definitely feeling the loss of inches in my clothes too. In addition to having already dropped a jeans size, I can feel my clothes getting looser, and some even baggy. This includes pants, shirts and sweaters – so I must be losing inches even in places I’m not measuring.
Anyway, I will take these lost inches – wherever they occur – and be happy with them. And also promise myself never to find them again.
