Over 30 Pounds Lost!
Two pieces of good news this morning regarding my health and wellness:
- The first – I have officially crossed the 30 pound weight loss mark!! As of this morning, I have lost 31.4 pounds on this wellness endeavor. I know that I will have some fluctuations around this number as I continue to lose weight. But, this was the first time I hit that milestone. (Hooray!!).
- Second – I had another small Non-Scale Victory this past week. I was finally able to do my balance test on the ball of one foot! It was just for a few seconds, but definitely progress. The balance test is supposed to be done on on the ball of your dominant foot. But, I was too heavy and unfit to do this. I could only start to balance all my weight with one foot entirely on the ground – not the ball of the foot. That is until now…(Double Hooray!!).
Measurements Update
As I’ve mentioned before, I am taking some of my body measurements about every 3 weeks to have another non-scale way to measure my progress. This includes measuring several different body areas, including the main ones that I list below: my arm, chest, waist, hips and thigh.
I completed my Day 84 (12 weeks) measurements update, which are below:
12 Week Measurement Update
In the last 3 weeks, I have lost an additional 6 inches all over when I include all the measurements. This makes a grand total of 38.75 inches since the beginning.
That’s 38.75 inches in 12 weeks – over 3 feet!
I still have a long way to go (I mean I realize that some women have waists that are smaller than my thigh!). But, my numbers are definitely improving – I am happy with the progress I’m making.
And most important, I know that my overall health continues to improve. And for that, I am happy, grateful, proud and encouraged.
